Death to Rolodex? Really? Well, that’s what it says on CYNCZ website

I attended the TECH Cocktail DC 7 event last week at LeftBank Lounge in Adams Morgan. I bumped into many of my old friends. Unfortunately, I didn’t see that many investors and noticed only a few handful of startups showcasing their products – including Genius Rocket which runs by a great friend of mine also another Washingtonian serial entrepreneur, Mark Walsh. The event was packed with people though mostly geeks like myself.

I also met the co-founders of a new startup, CYNCZ, Jaya Pandey and Neeraj Jaiman based in Clarksburg, Maryland. They have been around since March. My first reaction I was dying to tell him: Dude, you got to come up with a better, easier, and meaningful company name. I think their product is cool though. Not sure about their competitive landscape though. CYNCZ automatically synchronizes your connected address books and if any information is changed or missing on one address book, it will automatically update all connected address books. In a nut shell, they allow you access all your contact details, anywhere, anytime on any device. So, why death to Rolodex? Because they let you automatically synchronize all your contact information from all your devices. So, I guess you let your rolodex die. Give it a try and check it out for yourself. Love to get your feedback.

Here is how it works.

I left the place around 10 p.m totally wasted. Well, the drinks were free. So naturally, I filled myself up with my favorite brand of French red wine, Beaujolais :-)

Here is their pitch on youtube. It is a little bit boring. But hey, didn’t we all start like this? I myself certainly did. I am so embarrassed to even look at the old videos of my telezoo days. What the hell was I thinking?
