Toys for Tots and Model Train Ceremony in Union Station Washington, DC

Here is a cute and interesting event you may want to attend – the regional kick-off for the 2009 U.S. Marine Corps Reserve “Toys for Tots”-campaign, as well as the launch of the giant Norwegian model train on display at Union Station for the holiday season.
The Royal Norwegian Embassy celebrates its 13th holiday season at Union Station. The events listed below are FREE and open to the public.
Tree Lighting Ceremony: (Dec. 3 6PM) Norway lights our 32-foot Christmas tree. A gift to the people of Washington, the tree is a symbol of the friendship between the United States and Norway. The Children’s Chorus of Washington, which represents over 100 schools in the metropolitan area, will be performing.
