Although racism is still an issue in our country and in our nation’s capital, when was the last time you witnessed things like what you are about to see in the video below in DC or the rest of our country?
Having lived and worked in the EU including London, Bonn, Paris, and Madrid from 2002 through mid 2006, grew up in Shiraz and Tehran, visited many Middle Eastern and Asian countries, I can absolutely confirm the story in this video. I not only experienced this firsthand within their sports community and infamous hooligans, but everywhere including intellectuals, company executives, and the educational community.
As a naturalized US citizen who got off the boat from Iran back in mid 80′s and prior to my temporary move to Europe in 2002, I thought that we in America were racist. Boy, what the hell was I thinking? I agree there are still some pockets of racism in our country, but it is mostly among the undereducated community,. which is quite usual for any country and culture.
My problem with majority of the European and other Nations including my own homeland of Iran is how the hell do they remain racist given their higher exposure to other countries and cultures? Not to mention their thousands of years of rich history. Surely with all that interaction they would have learnt to be more understanding of different cultures and races.
Considering only 10% of Americans out of 300 million have passport, I understand why some people are still racist here. However, literally, 9 out of 10 Europeans have passport and have traveled outside their own country. So, what is their excuse?
To my fellow American friends who think highly of the EU and feel ashamed of some of the social issues in our country, trust me on this – we are doing far better on many issues than most other countries.
Let’s not forget that we are less than a 250 years old. We are still a baby compared to most of the countries and cultures in the EU, Asia, South America, and classic Middle East with thousands of years of culture. I think we are doing awesome as a baby
I am not discouraging anyone to not travel to the EU. Europe has many awesome places and scenery that indeed is worth spending money to visit. But in my opinion it is just good to visit for a maximum of two weeks and then get the hell out!
Ladies & Gentlemen, This is Europe today with their thousands of years of rich history and culture!

Wow! I had no idea it was that bad. I’m so glad that we have progressed beyond that here.
As I mentioned in the article, we are less than 250 years old and they are minimum 1000 years old
You’re living proof of my theory that Persians can and do look good at any age
What’s funny, while I was living in their country, they called Americans the most racist. Did u watch the video?
I’m a very proud American. So are you. I don’t think you’re a racist.
Is calling Persians cute racism? I guess it is!
Ooops I’m a racist American! I just type casted all Persian men as being good looking. That finding was made based on knowing lots of Persian men from 1984-present.
Maybe when the Persian men breathe the American air of freedom they all start to look good?
God Bless America and of course Persian men!
amen to that
Bring your boys down to Annapolis and march with us in the fourth of July parade this year. Hey America isn’t perfect but I definitely think she’s the best country I know and for sure—a keeper.
A bunch of very patriotic women in Anne arundel county, their friends, their family, and I are going to be in one of the floats. We even have our own car in the parade too!
