Is Hulu killing Netflix? $10-per-Month for Hulu Plus

Hulu, the video portal joint venture between News Corp., NBC Universal and Disney launched a preview of Hulu Plus, a $9.99-per-month subscription service that will offer full current seasons of TV programs from ABC, Fox and NBC across a range of devices – but is it worth paying a monthly fee?
For $9.99 per month, you’ll get entire series and seasons in high definition, whereas most shows have up to this point only been available a few episodes at a time in standard definition. You’ll also have the option of streaming those episodes on a bunch of new devices, including the iPhone, iPad, PlayStation 3 and select Samsung TVs and Blu)-ray players – and, possibly more later.
The paid service will not provide an ad-free experience on Hulu; in fact, the company touted its new ability to deliver ads to mobile devices.
The company noted that Nissan and Bud Light have signed on to advertise on Hulu Plus.
“For our end users, we’re offering them the most convenient way to access their favorite shows, on devices they love, in high definition, at a fair price,” Hulu CEO Jason Kilar wrote on the company’s blog – very careful to note that shows will still be ad-supported even for Plus subscribers. That’s a disappointment, given that Netflix offers all of that to subscribers without any ads at all. Netflix has a slightly smaller selection of big television shows however, and only a few of its shows are updated as new episodes air.
I’d most likely pay for Hulu Plus, but 1 Ad at a time (unlike the Daily Show after it was taken off Hulu with 2-3 ads at once….annoying!) and depending on what i have to buy to get it on my TV. Not only do i have to buy a PS3 (which I won’t use otherwise) but pay monthly too??? Can’t they just get revenue off ads? I don’t see how hulu ads are any different than TV ads especially when the viewer numbers are closer to the same which will only happen if it stays FREE.
Will you pay for Hulu Plus?

Most of the content is free and can be accessed through other channels.
It’s really difficult for me to imagine (for myself) going from something I have been getting for free, to having to then pay for it.
In a word, NO
Hell No I can’t
