Arianna Huffington Taking everyone from NYC to Jon Stewart’s Rally in D.C. for FREE

Arianna Huffington appeared on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Tuesday, and announced that she plans to provide free bus transportation to Stewart’s  “Rally to Restore Sanity”on Oct 30th in Washington from New York for anyone that wants to go.

Skype and Facebook in deep Integration

Facebook is in talk with the VoIP service company,  Skype on a partnership that would see a tight integration of the service on the social network  that would allow users to call, text or message their friends directly from inside the social networking service.

The deal would see Skype deploy Facebook Connect, allowing Facebook users to send SMS messages and make voice and video calls to Facebook friends via Skype. Read more of this post

From Washington, DC to NYC in 96 Minutes! Awesome!

Amtrak introduced Tuesday a $117 billion public plan to build a high-speed rail corridor in the northeast “Megaregion” connecting Washington, D.C., New York City and Boston.

If built, the service would cut the trip between Awesome DC and Awesome NYC to 96 minutes, or about one hour quicker than the fastest service available now. Washington, D.C., to Boston would be achievable in three hours. Read more of this post

Indeed it’s all about content and AOL’s boss knows it!

Obviously the Mashable guys turned down AOL’s offer I reported back in Jan of this year. So, the head of AOL, Tim Armstrong, went ahead to acquire Mashable’s competitor, TechCrunch yesterday.
