(the pact between Google and Verizon Wireless) hasn’t killed the Net Neutrality yet, but many wireless carriers have already started their abuse. The new bastard is “T-Mobile” which happens to be my own carrier too :-( Their case is yet classic example of a totally arbitrary decision by a carrier to block text message calls between consumers and organizations they want to communicate with. Arlington Ranks the Top Region in the Nation with Biggest Increase in Employment

A new survey by MAINSTREET shows Arlington has had the biggest increase in employment in the nation. Thank you uncle Sam :-)

The survey was collection of data from:

. U.S. Census data on a handful of metrics, broken down by metropolitan area, looked for indicators of progress in an otherwise bleak economic environment.

. Unemployment data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, focusing on the three places with the most significant increases in employed persons, the biggest gainer in the year up to last December. Read more of this post

Flat-screen TV prices Going South Big time


If you plan to buy a flat screen TV, wait  a few more months as their prices are diving down big. According to the research firm DisplaySearch, by the end of this month, LCD TV prices will be about 5% lower than they were at the same time last year,. But a tailspin will start in October: In the last three months of the year, the firm forecasts that prices will keep falling until they bottom out at 12% below 2009 levels. Read more of this post
