One Crazy Persian Night @ Lima Lounge DC

After a full week of non-stop testing and bug fixing of the new awesomize.me from 6 a.m till 2 a.m, I dropped everything last night and headed to Lima Lounge for dinner and hunting with friends  ;-)

I have been always enjoying Lima, but certainly last night was the best. Literally, everyone had returned from an overseas trip, me included. So, it was like reunion Persian party…Awesome crowd, like always, Awesome ambience, Awesome music, and Awesome Wine! Later on the night, things went a little bit out of control. Everyone was drunk!!!

Washington DC Got a New sheriff: Vince Gray

Thanks to my web 1.0 era buddy Jamey Harvey, CEO of sponto, I was invited to the inaugural ball for the mayor last night.  It was freaking awesome, except for the food; there was no Kabob, no caviar, no Persian style rice :-( . Having said, the  ambiance, the laughter and joy from the beginning to the end of the party made it easy for me to overlook the food, which I’m actually not sure anyone minded but me, being the spoiled brat I am. 2011 Washington’s Premiere International New Year’s Eve Celebration

The ICDC folks are organizing their 6th New Year’s eve Gala in DC and you are all invited. The party will be held in Washington’s largest hotel, Wardman Park Marriott Hotel. It is supposed to be a spectacular celebration of international culture, music, cuisine, and dancing.

If you got no previous engagement, this will be another great party for you to attend on top of the James Bond New Year’s party I previously blogged about.

Having the fantasy of being James Bond or one of his girls for one night?

The awesome  Euronet International is  hosting their 9th Annual New Year’s Eve James Bond Gala in Washington DC at the Washington Plaza Hotel. Those of you with the  fantasy of being James Bond or one of the 007′s babes for one night, here is the chance. Given most of the girls in Bond movies die, not sure if any of the Washingtonian women share the same excitement as the guys about the event ;-) We shall find out by their numbers showing up :-)

I was in my regular overseas trip past three New years eve. Not this year, at least not during the New year’s eve. So, finally I am going to make this event for the first time.

Another Beaujolais Nouveau Wine and Cheese Party in DC

If you didn’t get enough from Beaujolais Nouveau Celebration at the Embassy of France last night, here is another one. Certainly, not as fancy as the one at the Embassy, but good enough for a nice happy hour and mingle with other Washingtonians and explore an new cute place in DC.

The prestigious Alliance Francaise de Washington will be hosting this one – the Beaujolais Nouveau Wine & Cheese Party.

There will also be a live jazz band and a DJ. This is going to be one classy night, so don’t miss out!

I wish I could have made both parties, but I am still in the EU. I was planning to head back to DC in a little bit over a week, but a few friends offered me to a few tempting  proposal I could not resist. So, I had to delay my return till December 13th. Read more of this post

Beaujolais Nouveau Celebration at the Embassy of France

The ICDC folks have organized another happening party in DC. This time, at the French Embassy AGAIN for Beaujolais Nouveau Celebration.

Each year, on the third Thursday of November; a fresh batch of Beaujolais Nouveau is released in France, shipped throughout the world and enjoyed by thousands! This special tradition is celebrated each year at the Embassy of France and is a must for party-goers who appreciate French “savoir-vivre.”

Throughout this “fête champêtre” at La Maison Française, enjoy three different types of this year’s Beaujolais Nouveau as well as other libations, a delicious menu prepared by Cuisine Solutions, French pastries and live jazz by the Pete Muldoon Trio, followed by dance tunes mixed by DJ Jean Michel, the official DJ of the French Tuesday in NYC! Celebrating the rescue of the Chilean Miners at their Embassy in Washington, D.C.

Thanks to Magda Johanna Gomez, the Awesome Washingtonian of the month, here are some photos she took at a party in The Embassy of Chile last week.

As the Embassy  watched and celebrated the rescue of the 33 miners last Thursday, they  provided Chilean wine, cheese and crackers for all!  The rescue was watched on a big screen placed outsider the embassy where Chileans welcomed everyone who stopped by to watch it with them.  Chileans sang their national anthem and their country’s song, Chi Chi Chi Le Le Le, Viva Chile!
