Tesla Motors Comes to DC


Electric sportscar maker Tesla Motors. will open a store soon in Washington, D.C., according to the Washington Post.

The newspaper reported Monday that Palo Alto-based Tesla is “nearing a deal” to put a store downtown at 1050 K St. NW. Read more of this post

Whether you think President Obama is doing a great Job in handling our nation, whether or not you voted for him, one thing for sure he deserves a major credit for – Greenizing the country. I have been living, studying, and working in Washington, D.C.  since 1985.  I have never seen so much buzz and initiatives on green since Obama has taken over the Washington, D.C.  His passion for going Green has even got Bill Gates to invest in green.

Awesome DC Joins California and Michigan As A Chevrolet Volt Lead Retail Market

General Motors announced that Washington DC will be Among First U.S. Markets to Carry Chevrolet Volt - set for a simultaneous rollout in late 2010.  No doubt in mind, Washington is likely a market as much for political reasons as it is for commercial or technical reasons.  ;-)

Those of you not familiar enough with this particular car, it is an electric vehicle with extended-range capability. It is designed to drive up to 40 miles on electricity without using gasoline or producing tailpipe emissions. When the Volt’s lithium-ion battery is depleted, an engine/generator seamlessly operates to extend the driving range if there is no access to an electrical outlet to recharge the battery, providing peace of mind by eliminating range anxiety.
