A high percentage of people here are well-educated, you never know who you are going to meet. The clean metro system is definitely a bonus, and our nation’s great monuments are always a sight to see. What I love about DC area the most: Without question, the people.  I have lived in this amazing city for almost 20 years and am blown away with the general kindness and compassion of our city’s people and am lucky enough to live close by some of my greatest friends.  With that, I am also a highly trained eater who loves the local restaurants [I have even designed a few] and using food as a vessel to spend time with my friends and family.    Lastly, it is impossible to be bored in DC.  There is always a concert, an exhibit or a fun event going on, so get up and get out there people! We have the POTUS, Senate, Congress and Headquarters of every major government agency based here which makes this city the hub of the world. Every single day there are fundraisers, events, socials, and news being made here. You can be on top of the world one day here and on the bottom within the same day. DC will embrace you as one of it’s own for it’s a forgiving city where everyone has something to offer. You can visit historic places, embassy’s, museums and meet the policy makers in a small local venue all in the same day.
