Jon Stewart And Glenn Beck Connection – Conservative Libertarian

The best of The Daily Show this week was the one on Thursday night. Jon Stewart made it official that Glenn Beck is not a joke anymore and now important and influential. Jon went all-in on with a whopping 15-minute parody of the Fox News host. This was unbelievably funny, and pretty well done. When Stewart took “Arian” from “Libertarian” and asked, “Why an “i” instead of a “y”? Why, indeed?

Frankly, my problem isn’t in that Glenn Beck gets ratings or has followers. It is in the method he uses and how many people that “follow” him don’t realize that his show is opinion posing as information. My comment is based on several people/friends I know who just love this guy and constantly spout things he says.

The Best Of Jon Stewart This Week

You have to love Jon Stewart, he tells it like it is. His best piece of the week was the one attacking the Dems screw up in Massachusetts.

Right wingers have always been complaining about how Stewart is always picking on them and their network. Well, he unloaded on the gaffe riddled campaign of Democratic Senate candidate Martha Coakley. I laughed my ass off when he said “Kennedy legacy could be lost to a naked guy who owns a truck”.

His other interesting comment which I couldn’t make sense of was “If this lady loses, the health care reform bill that the beloved late senator considered his legacy, will die. And the reason it will die… is because if Coakley loses, Democrats will only have an 18 vote majority in the Senate, which is more than George W. Bush ever had in the Senate when did whatever the fuck he wanted to.”

What am I missing?
