The Future of Tysons Corner & The Dulles Corridor

With the Fairfax Board’s passing of the Tysons Corner land-use plan and zoning ordinance and with construction well underway on the Dulles Corridor Rail, the commercial real estate community is buzzing about development that will shape the region for decades. The area is expected to attract twice the jobs and five times the residents, thereby requiring new office, retail, residential, and other development.
That being said, there is an event in Tysons Corner on July 29 discussing the objectives of the Tysons and Dulles plans will materialize over the coming years. What are current thoughts & plans for development around planned rail stations? How will development differ between the Tysons area and government-owned land in the Dulles Corridor area?
