Another Jazz Concert and Dancing at Dumbarton House in Georgetown

As we are getting closer to the end of summer, ICDC is hosting another Jazz party in Georgetown. Celebrate the remaining of the season at the Dumbarton House museum and garden for an evening of jazz and dancing. The historic museum will be open for self-guided tours while a five piece jazz band plays in the garden. Come on your own or invite friends for a summer evening of music and dance, to the sounds of Full Ascent, a local jazz ensemble!

The National Dance Day in Washington, D.C. today

The Event hosted by Nigel Lythgoe, was held in Washington, D.C. National Mall near by the Capital. I think there were about 500 people had showed up. It was AWESOME!!!!

Everyone looked they had a great time! Dancing is both healthy and healing. Congresswoman Eleanor Norton Holmes and Nigel Lythgoe, and all the rest did a really great job. The performers and camera crew were excellent, so thoroughly enjoyed this event. Thankful for all those who played a part in bringing this initiative to pass.

Embassy of France Friday Night Dance Soiree and Lessons

Just in time for Masquerade Ball and Anniversary Gala at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, here is an opportunity to learn ballroom dancing at the Embassy of France – Waltz and Salsa followed by an evening of dancing.

This is supposed to be one of the most elegant and romantic ballroom dances followed by salsa one of the most popular and exciting Latin dances! The dance lessons will be followed by time to dance.

Those of you still trying to figure out what to do or where to go on Valentine’s day, here are two places I recommend – one is at the French Embassy and the second one at the National Gallery of Art.

The French Embassy Valentine’s Soiree

Both singles and couples are invited to a Rendez-vous of Parisian desserts, champagne, chocolate, music, and dance. Sounds like an elegant evening hosted by the French-American Cultural Foundation.
