After a full week of non-stop testing and bug fixing of the new awesomize.me from 6 a.m till 2 a.m, I dropped everything last night and headed to Lima Lounge for dinner and hunting with friends
I have been always enjoying Lima, but certainly last night was the best. Literally, everyone had returned from an overseas trip, me included. So, it was like reunion Persian party…Awesome crowd, like always, Awesome ambience, Awesome music, and Awesome Wine! Later on the night, things went a little bit out of control. Everyone was drunk!!!
A few good friends from my hometown, Shiraz Iran, caught me with their iPhone on Friday night when totally wasted at Lima lounge AGAIN. Good thing, it didn’t turn out to be that bad. So, curious what I do when off the computer and not blogging? Here it is
BTW, I don’t usually behave like this. I was just a little bit wasted having a good time with friends, and also a little bit over excited from the movie Scarface I had just watched before heading out: Read more of this post
The two nightclubs filed Chapter 11 petitions last week to ward off their creditors and ensure the pending sale of Love, a four-story mega club, goes off without a hitch.
Frankly, I am surprised they last this long. They were both my least favorite clubs in DC. I tried both of them only once and that was my last. Although, four-story mega type of clubs sound exciting and has had a great success in other cities and States, but the model doesn’t work for Washingtonians. Most Washingtonian are two sophisticated to go clubbing in places that looks like junk yard. I would say Ibiza is next to file for chapter 11. Read more of this post
byElias Shams It’s Friday!!! The weather is FANTASTICO!!! If you are a Washingtonian, I am sure you know what that means DC will be on fire this weekend!
Not to mention Lima’s brand new HOT VIP section that I will be checking it out tomorrow night to blog about it next week.
Hope you understand Italian, Romanian, and Russian If not, just blast the volume and enjoy the awesome videos below. They should put you in the mood and to get your ass off the video games and out of the house this weekend: HOT!
by Kamran Abdi Since, the birth of Web 1.0 in the late 90’s, as a classic party animal, I have signed up on ton of party sites in DC area. I think the one I will stick to is Red Skies. I have been on their list for past one year or so and not a single complain. Every one of their parties has been better than the previous one. The crowd, the music, the ambience, all FANTASTICO!.
If you love partying and you live in DC area or plan to visit DC, you got to be on Red Skies parties list – one of the best and hottest party organizers in town. Thanks to their promoter who looks like a mix of Leo Dicaprio and young Brad Pitt, they have done such a great job in attracting the most fun and stunning looking crowd to mingle with I guess the young Brad is smart enough to know the power of social media and how to use it.
If you think I am exaggerating about the crowd, see it for yourself. These people are the most common people I bump into in their parties. There is absolutely no word to describe the beauty of the female community. As for men, not sure what to say. I am just glad, I am better looking than most of them – less dudes to compete with: Read more…
by Kamran Abdi It is Fridaaaaaaay and time to partaaaaaaay!!!
Heading to Ibiza this weekend – one of the best served by DJs nightclub packed with beautiful people of Washington, DC. The club is very international and HOT! My first time visit to Ibiza was pretty fun, maybe because of all the gorgeous women there which has always been my weakness. Once I spot one, I go blind. If I spot many, nothing else counts There is never shortage of angels with their wings flying around at Ibiza.
They have another happening there tomorrow night at 10:00 p.m – BT’s Live Laptop Symphony. If interested, you need to RSVP. Here are some great pics from our last party there. Sorry for a few missing heads. I was too drunk to keep the camera straight
Let me start my review with their ground zero video. Blast the volume first:
The Place rocks! Not as good as my favorite one, Lima, but it is great. Read more…
by Kamran Abdi There will be a special event at Lima restaurant, one of my favorite places in DC for Haiti tomorrow January 21, 2010 from 6:00 p.m till 10:00 p.m. Please attend and help those in desperate need. Monetary donations suggested but canned food and clothing also accepted. Proceeds and donations will directly benefit the relief effort in Haiti.
Guest speakers are planned. Agencies contacted/represented at the event include:
Event format will be to have various open dialogues explaining each organizations role in Haiti, what is needed now, what will be needed in the future, as well as a Q&A session on how people can become more involved.
Speaking of Lima, I have been going there one or twice a week past three years or so. I have always had a blast in the place. Lima is a bar, restaurant, lounge, and one of the best nightclub in DC. It is a great place to eat and party. I have never really met anyone that did not enjoy Lima.
In a nutshell:
. The mango mojitos…or any of their mojitos…yum! Be sure to get a pitcher because you’ll want to keep drinking.
. Their food – specially their Cuban chicken is fantastic. Also, their shrimp ceviche experience. BELLISSIMO !
. Their laid back and the sidewalk patio on a beautiful day…you must visit for happy hour in the spring. But be sure to get there early because it gets packed.
. And of course, my favorite, the crowd. To me, Lima is another heaven on earth – to be more specific, another heaven in DC. Everyone is beautiful there – even the dudes. As always, my digital camera was on fire Read more…
