The World Cup Video that Changed my Heart from Spain to mother Russia

Reporting live from London :-) I have been glued to the TV screen since 6:00 a.m London times watching six nations making their final pitch to the FIFA judge to win the Bid for hosting the World Cup 2018.

The bidders are England, mother Russia, Belgium/Netherlands and Joint venture  between Spain and Portugal. Every country had their last 30 minute pitch including a 3 minutes video today. The final decision will be made in a few hours. I have very little doubt Russia wins though. They are up against tough Nations with much better infrastructure and transportation systems to handle the crowd during the World Cup.

Although, I have been cheering for Spain/Portugal all along, but the video Russia presented by far captured my heart and attention for two main reasons:  :-) Read more of this post

awesomize.me Invades Mother Russia

Countries visited awesomize.me past 12 hours - source: Google Analytic

It was just yesterday, I did a blog post about our invasion of 26 countries since our beta launch earlier this month. According to Google Analytic, we invaded a few more countries past 24 hours including mother Russia :-) Although, Google claims we have users from 42 countries, I can only spot 31 countries with green color. From Moscow to DC via Russia House

Sure, the Cold War is over, but the Russians have more to give American culture than just Smirnoff Ice. Had a blast with many of my Russian Comrades at one of the most iconic places in Dupont Circle last night – Russia House.

From Russia With Load of Cash

It was just about a year ago that mother Russia poured in a total of $400 million into the US. They are gearing up to pour in another cool $300 million for the acquisition of ICQ from AOL.

The two Russian based companies ProMedia and Digital Sky Technologies (DST) are two out of three finalists who are just about to make  the acquisition. read more…
