HP to Fund Newseum Gallery on Technology’s Impact on Media

The  Newseum and the technology giant HP announced their joint partnership to create a new hands-on media gallery focusing on technology’s impact on the news industry.

The HP New Media Gallery, scheduled to open in early 2012, will provide an immersive experience that will enable Newseum visitors from around the globe to explore technology’s role in the democratization of content and news. The gallery will aim to show how technology has drastically changed the collection and dissemination of news, empowering citizens while challenging traditional media business models.

HP will support the project with $5 million over the next 10 years.

Angelina Jolie Spending Her Weekend in Washington, D.C.

Continuing along with her “SALT” promotions, Angelina Jolie was spotted making her way around Washington, DC today.

She was all business in a black skirt and jacket leaving the Newseum along with co-star Liev Schreiber.

Her movie “SALT”  hitting theaters right on my birthday, Friday, July 23rd :-)

Given the recent Russian Spy scandal in the East coast, I have no doubt, the movie “SALT” will do just fine $$$ :-)

O.J. Simpson’s Suit Heading Back to D.C.

The suit O.J. was wearing on the day he was acquitted of murder in heading to Newseum in Washington, D.C. after being rejected by the Smithsonian Institution last month.

Although, such a move by the Newseum might sound disturbing to a lot of people, I guess It’s  just a piece of news history to the Newseum management who intend to  add the suit to their collection of objects relating to the trial. read more…
