Emailing Ain’t Going Anywhere

Another interesting and frankly expected new research from Xobni and Harris Interactive confirms that emailing is here to stay. Throw away all the hypes about social media to replace email.

2,200 adults 18 and older in the U.S. and U.K were surveyed on their e-mail habits and attitudes. Most respondents — 72% in the U.S, 68% in the U.K. — indicated that they check e-mail during their time off. A large percentage of Americans also check e-mail in bed (19%), and while on vacation or during days off (50%). Read more of this post

To Live Better and Longer, try to be more Sociable



A recent research by journal PLoS Medicine shows people with adequate social relationships have a 50 percent greater likelihood of survival than people who have poor or insufficient relationships. That means that having good relationships is comparable to quitting smoking in terms of survival benefit, and is a stronger factor than obesity and physical activity.

And, NO! it does NOT mean having a social life on Facebook. I think it means  get off Facebook, go partying and clubbing over the weekend or whenever you can.  Well! I’ve been doing that since I finished school :-) Read more of this post

No Wonder Every Carrier Wants to Sell iPhone


According to the latest research by Yankee Group, a typical iPhone user generates $5,345 in net revenue over five years for their carrier, after subsidies and bandwidth costs, compared to $5,097 for other smartphone owners.

The research further shows iPhone owners shop more, buy more and remain more loyal to their phones than users of other devices. Well, with all those apps for iPhone over other smartphones, this does make sense.
