Washington, D.C. Not Branded as City of Politics, Corruptions, and Scandals anymore


Just to be clear, all three of them are still happening in DC, and they will continue to happen. However, given all the new Reality television shows which have invaded Washington, D.C., politics, corruptions, and scandals are the last thing coming to anyone’s mind these days.

Just in the last year alone, Washington, D.C., has played host to “The Real World” “Top Chef,” “DC Cupcakes“, the  up coming “Potomac River” and now the power-hungry White House-crashing cast members of “The Real Housewives of D.C.”

As a Washingtonian, I must admit that D.C. has suffered from a reputation of being a “9-5 city,” where most people live in Virginia and Maryland and commute in for work. Read more of this post

Tiger Wood’s former mistress Casting at Top Chef DC?


Top Chef Washington DC will premiere on 12 September on Arena.

Other shows starting on Arena in September are Project Runway the US version on the 13 September, and Celebrity Rehab Season three on the 16th.

Celebrity Rehab looks to be a cracker as it will have Heidi Fleiss, Tom Sizemore, Mackenzie Phillips and Dennis Rodman. Read more of this post

Eric Ripert Joins the Top Chef Judging Panel in D.C.


Top Chef is bringing the French-born chef, Eric Ripert to the plate this season. And the gig is a promotion for Ripert, who’s previously appeared as a guest judge on the cooking competition. This season (which premieres Wednesday at 9 p.m. EST) he has a regular role, as a recurring judge, when Top Chef takes the competition to Washington, D.C.

And it’s a city he knows well: Ripert was a sous-chef at the Watergate Hotel in Washington D.C., before opening his New York City eatery Le Bernardin.

Top Chef Announces the DC Cheftestants Debuts June 16

Get ready for a new season of Top Chef! This time the show takes place in Washington, D.C. with 17 new chefs vying for the top honor.

The chefs, unveiled below stir the pot along with host Padma Lakshmi, judges Tom Collichio and Gail Simmons, and new judge Eric Ripert

The chef competitors range from 24-year-old to 51-year-old  only the second woman to become a Certified Master Chef. Read more of this post
