International Swine Flu Conference to be held in DC

Emergency Preparedness Leaders, Health and School Officials, Business, Public and Private sector Partners will have access to H1N1 Flu experts from around the world to address the issues of continued planning for the possibility of a more severe outbreak of H1N1 flu this fall.

With delegates from Tribal, local, state, federal and 32 countries already confirmed, the 2nd International Swine Flu Conference will provide a platform for public health officials and community stakeholders to come together, to network and exchange preparedness and response efforts. Special emphasis will be placed on identifying the responsibilities of various stakeholders in order to improve global communication coordination and collaboration. read more…

Why Is America Afraid Of Sweden?

This particular episode of The Daily Show is a year old. I can’t believe I had missed it. I have tried my best to keep up with all of The Daily show episodes. I guess I must have been out of country or something. So, here it is for those of you who also missed it.

In his show, Jon Stewart took a shot at the  socialism in response to our government who has been taking partial ownership of the auto industry, the banks and insurance companies. Not a surprise, such a move  made the folks at Fox shitting in their pants over how our country is turning into “socialist Sweden”. In his report called “The Stockholm Syndrome,” Jon made fun of our black-and-white view of the Nordic country’s famous welfare system. Read more…
