Celebrating the rescue of the Chilean Miners at their Embassy in Washington, D.C.

Thanks to Magda Johanna Gomez, the Awesome Washingtonian of the month, here are some photos she took at a party in The Embassy of Chile last week.

As the Embassy  watched and celebrated the rescue of the 33 miners last Thursday, they  provided Chilean wine, cheese and crackers for all!  The rescue was watched on a big screen placed outsider the embassy where Chileans welcomed everyone who stopped by to watch it with them.  Chileans sang their national anthem and their country’s song, Chi Chi Chi Le Le Le, Viva Chile!
