Wireless Jobs Down Again

Crap! The telecommunications segment continues to lose jobs, declining 2,300 from May to June, and a whopping 47,100 jobs from June 2009 to June 2010, according to new U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Employment in the wireless subsector was down 2,700 jobs from May 2009 to May 2010. A total of 192,200 jobs exist in the wireless sector. On the wired telecom side, 39,300 jobs were lost from May 2009 to May; the sector now counts 597,600 jobs.
The number of people employed in the computer and electronic products sector stood at 1.097 million in June, down 33,800 from a year ago, but up 1,100 from May. Read more of this post
