Senator Dole to be Honored at the Kennedy Center

The world premiere of a work commissioned as a tribute to the legacy of former U.S. Sen. Bob Dole will be featured at a special concert by the Washburn Wind Ensemble and the Washburn Jazz Ensemble at the John F. Kennedy Center next week.

As a veteran of Iran/Iraq myself, indeed, this is a well deserved event honoring Senator Dole. I am not a republican, but I’ve always liked Dole.  I still remember my criticism of  CNN for featuring Senator Dole’s embarrassing fall during his Presidential campaign against Bill Clinton in 1996 – even though, I was voted for Clinton. read more…
