Be Curious… Be spontaneous… Play with your Food

It is the simple  philosophy behind the new café shop recently opened near by my place two block north of Dupont Circle less a hundred feet below Russia House. It is called Dolcezza – my new office  to blog from. Yes, free Wi-Fi  🙂 The joint is all about fresh ice cream made from fresh organic and exotic fruits every morning, organic tea/coffee from various countries, and Argentine gelato.

I think the joint is the second or third cafe shop Dolcezza has opened in DC area. I have seen another one in Georgetown. Never tried it though.

The place has a communal table, window seating, patio seating, and an antique wood coffee bar first used in Buenos Aires cafes.

Dolcezza is pioneering the way for cleaner-tasting, expertly brewed coffee by introducing the latest pour-over technology, theV60 from Hario, which has been touted as one of the most superior pour-over systems on the market. Dolcezza’s v60 coffee bar was custom built by Ritual Roasters in San Francisco and will be used to feature coffee beans from four or five different coffee roasters, always following the coffee that is currently in season. The pour-over method of coffee brewing is a slower, more personalized process and involves pouring hot water over freshly ground coffee. Pastries from Bonaparte Breads will brought in every morning to accompany the coffee.

Enjoy the pics I took from the place yesterday 🙂
