Looking for a Job in Washington, D.C. Area? Try The Awesome DC Way

Our Dear Beloved Washingtonians, Virginians, and Marylandians, We are now receiving great traffic from Washington, D.C. area from both the employers and the employees.

Given the current job market situation, I recently came up with a great idea to help you to find (and hope to secure) your dream job in DC area. Before we build and launch it on AwesomeDC, we need your help and feedback for a test drive.

Those of you looking for job, any Job in DC area, would you email the following about yourself to the email address provided in our contact us page:

1) A Link to your LinkedIn profile , hope you have one. If you don’t, send us any link that is open to public and describes your work experiences. Do your best to keep it up to date

2) A one or two paragraph cover letter. Please, make sure it is not too long.

3) Make a ONE minute pitch video about yourself and what you are looking for. Post it on Youtube and send us the link to it. Make sure the video stays ONE min max. If you make it longer than one min, it might lower the probability of getting selected by the employers. Your call… your risk.

4) Finally, send me the list of tags separated by commas related to the Jobs you are looking for. For example, if you are in IT and looking for a wireless type of Job, here are the related tags you can try: wireless, IT, information technology, wimax, mobile, DC jobs, VA Jobs, MD jobs, networking engineering, ….

The tags will make it easier for the employers to find you on our site and from the major search engines like Google who will be indexing your page on AwesomeDC site.

Give us a week or so to test it and we let you know how it goes.
