Reward for your Participation in Awesome Washingtonian Program

I just sent this out to our list. I figured to post it here too for others not familiar with the new feature on our site.

Our Dear Beloved Awesome Washingtonians of the Day and the voters –

Thanks you all for participating in our Awesome Washingtonians program. A lot is happening! As I am sure you have already noticed you are now getting a better sense of what your friends, colleagues, family members and total strangers are thinking of you.

To reward your effort, here is an idea that hit me over a nice glass of Shiraz wine last night with a few friends 🙂

Referring to our Advertising page, we will award a FREE Ad space for Zone 1A & 2A to the top Awesome Washingtonian of the MONTH for one full week on our site.

The program will kick in the first Mon of each month for the Awesome Washingtonian of the previous month. Our first one will be on Oct 4th for the month of Aug and Sept.

As for the measurement I will use to select the top Awesome Washingtonian of the month, It’s simple. We take your average rating and multiply it by your total number of votes. i.e. if both Mr. and Mrs. Smith have an ave rating of  4.2, out of 200 votes for Mr. Smith, but out of 300 for Mrs. Smith, the winner is Mrs. Smith.

If you don’t have the kind of business that needs Ad space on Awesome DC, you can transfer your Ad space or sell it to one of the other candidate of your choice or a buddy or colleague who desperately needs it. Alternatively, you can promote an event on our site for free for a week. We will also put your image as the Washingtonian of the month on our sidebar for a week 🙂

It looks like the winner so far is Mr. Mark Walsh

Well, there are 30 more days left 🙂

Those of you not winning, you will at least receive decent exposure to your cause and business. You can also add your Awesome DC bio  to your Facebook or Linkedin page or your blog.

Thank you all for your participation.

Cheers
Elias
