Awesome Washingtonian of the Day Sept 9, 2010

Name: Pauline Vaksmann
Live in: Awesome DC
Originally from: Lille, France
Profession: Intern at Airbus North America as a Treasury associate in the Finance Department. I am also studying International Business at Grenoble Management School in France.  Why going so far across the Atlantic to make an internship when I could make it in France? Because I really love traveling and seize  all the opportunities I have to discover new horizons and gain experience from this. I invest a lot in my studies/carrier, but I could not do everything I’m doing now without having a great time in the place I live (For now : Awesome DC!).

I’ll be doing another internship at Ernst & Young in France for 6 months starting next month. Then, from April to September 2011, I will be back to Washington DC and its neighborhoods for my last internship.

What I love about DC area the most:
DC takes the best of every places. Nice city, not too crowded, but when you really want to meet great people, DC is the place to be. You just have to choose the kind of atmosphere you want and that’s it ! This is a city full of nice people, always motivated to show you how nice and charming can be this awesome city.

My favorite Music video: Edward Maya & Vika Jigulina

About me: I was raised in France but traveled a lot around the world (With family, with friends or for some internships). I enjoy a lot spending time with my friends and my family. I am a very smiling person and do my best to make others feeling good.

I moved to DC a few months ago to the International Student House of DC. It gave me the opportunity to meet great people from everywhere. This is very enriching and I learned a lot from each person I’ve met, and I hope they learn a lot about me too “There is no problem, only solutions !” “Life is beautiful, don’t think too much and GO!” . I’m a really positive and easy going person. I love talking, meeting new people, smiling, eating good food, Salsa, and doing my best to reach my goals. I love challenges and to discover new places too. I have been in to many places around the world and for me, everything is an experience, and we can learn about it. I take the world as it comes to me and try to make it better by a positive way of thinking. I have always done my best to succeed in both social and working lives.

The words you have written to describe yourself are just as you would have spoken them. I think you if one meets you they will see no disconnect between your profile and the actual person whom you are.

LOVED reading this and knowing how great it is to know you. Wish you all the best in your career and life.

You are now officially a property of Washington, D.C. not France anymore. Print this page, take it the US INS and get you US citizenship 🙂
