How to cure your cold flu with my Fat Mamma Soup

As the flu season begins, I thought of sharing with you my secret “fat mamma soup” recipe for you in DC. The soup is awesome and always takes care of my cold in one or two days, much better than the crap medicine you waste your money on at CVS.

I call the soup “Fat Mamma Soup” because, 1) Every time I was down with a cold or flu, my Mamma made it for me back home in Iran 2) She is fat, but cute fat of course 🙂

Go ahead and call me “Mamma’s boy”. I consider it a compliment. Out of all the countries and cultures I’ve been exposed to, there are only two other cultures in which Mamma’s boy is considered a positive aspect – Italy and Spain. Other cultures need to catch up 🙂

Stuff you need as shown in the photo.

– Carrots
– little bit of rice
– little bit of ground beef, Turkey or chicken
– Salt & Pepper
– Lemon or lime
– Parsley

Get rid of all the branches of Parsley, scrape off the carrot skin. Nicely wash and chop them, then throw into a half pot of boiling water.

Wash the rice and add it to the water with the ground meat and stir every once in a while:

Add salt/pepper and you are done.

Keep on medium flame for 30 – 40 minutes till you see the water inside the pot gets a little thick and green.

Once you serve it in the dish, squeeze some lemon or lime in it.

Feel free to add a little bit more salt and pepper if you feel it’s not tasty enough

Pure some salt/paper and you are done.

Keep the flame in medium for 30 – 40 minutes till you see the water inside the pot gets a little bit thick and green.

Once you serve it in the dish, squeeze some lemon or lime in it.

Feel free to add a little bit more salt and paper if you feel it’s not tasty enough.
