College2Startup: Need To Connect with The Awesome Startups Or Talents?

Those of you recent collage grads, techies, and the startups around Awesome DC, here is a new site you may want to check it out – College2Startup,  another  new site for startups looking to find quality collegiate or postgraduate talent and vice versa.

Although, there are already several site like, and out there doing the same thing, but College2Startup allows you to subscribe to their daily newsletter to receive job opportunities. When you receive the newsletter, you can scroll through the list of job openings to find the opportunity that best suits you, then click to apply.

There is a downside to it for the startups using the site though. They require $100 for each job post where others sites require less. I find it ironic how these job sites with startup focuses require upfront payments. Don’t they realize $100 is a lot for seed and pre-seed companies? If these sites truly want to support startups, they should have some kind of innovative new model that specially suits the needs of the unique startup hiring environment. Or why not make it free for the first month? If your service provides what it says it does; then the startups will come back for more good/successful talent hires.

On the positive side, the required upfront fee might eliminate the spammer and help the site to connect the quality companies with the prospective candidates.

Give it a try and let us know what you think.

  1. Samuel Adams says:

That is why was created. The website allows startup’s to post their ideas on for 20 dollars unless in college then it is 10 dollars. The other great thing about the website is the company places 50% of their profits back into the ideas posted on based on a ranking system.
