How To Make Money Off of Youtube Via Your Profile Pages

In case you still trying to figure out what to do with all those videos you’ve uploaded on youtube, the company has a feature that allows you to make money off of advertising revenue run on your videos on their site – as long as you own the videos and not copied from someone else. Here is what you need to do on youtube/Google to make extra couple thousands a month and how to leverage your pages to double that:

 1) Come up with a catchy title for your Videos:

Once your videos start getting some traction, YouTube will send you an email with this subject line: “Apply for revenue sharing for your video“. Make sure to upload videos on regular basis  and keep on distributing them to social media channels you are members of (Facebook, Google+, Twitter, LinkedIn,etc.)

2) Apply through YouTube’s Partner Program page

You’ll be able to turn on revenue sharing off advertising for all your videos, You will even be able to rent out your videos.

3) Create a Google AdSense Account

So, Google can send you the revenue to your bank account.

4) Once you’ve been approved by youtube as a partner and your Google AdSense account is set up, here is the tough part: Out of million of other videos on youtube, how do you make yours to stand out and to get more clickthorugh on your Ads run on your videos?

With some good tagging (assuming you know how) and sharing your videos with your network of online friends on other social media channels (depending on your quality friends), you might have some luck.

However, if you add your youtube videos to your profile pages, you will be able to double or even triple that luck. Here is how and why?

As part of  SEO strategy, the company has done a pretty good job in pushing your pages up on any search engine including Google. The more content including your youtube videos you add to your pages, the more and higher your pages will show up on google search result pages. Translation:

More clickthroughs on the your youtube videos -> more Ad revenue to your Bank account

Not to mention the search for your name or company on site itself. The higher your score, the better chance you will be found on the site. To jack up your score, read my earlier blog post – How To Increase Your Score On

Here is an example: Check out the profile page for the user “Josh Sippola” on He is the social media strategist for CentruyLink. Although, he is more active on Facebook and his other social media channels than his pages, if you google him, his page is third on top:

To add videos to your pages, click on “my videos” from your personal page or “Edit” from company or product/service pages. Then, follow the steps. It’s pretty easy to add them. GOOD LUCK!

Thanks Arjun. The point of this article is how to get more views and clicktroughs to your youtube videos not to your blog. As for your question on where the use of, did you read step 4? i.e, take a look at all my videos in my profile page:

I did a google search for your name. Unfortunately, your page is not showing up on the first google search result page like mine and Josh Sippola I mentioned in the article. It’s mainly because your page is not as complete as ours, No videos in it. You have not created a page for your company nor any of your products or services. Create them and see the difference in a week on Google search result page
