What I like about DC the most: I am attracted to our international city because it offers a tremendous variety of cultural and social events as well as the fact that the local news is world news.  I admire people who want to help others; therefore, I like to socialize and entertain especially when these activities support organizations that are contributing to our society by helping others i.e. Tigerlily Foundation, Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation, and the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE). What I love about DC the most: When I came to this country over 20 years ago I took out a map and tried to decide where I wanted to settle down.  To my surprise I crossed out lots of states for different reasons before I closely examined DC. I found everything I was looking for here.  I found a great international crowd and made a lot of unique friends.  I found many places where I can feel at home.  This city gives me all I need: professional  opportunities, cultural taste and lots of social life.  Growing up I was always surrounded by professionals with artistic taste.  I think we influence our personality and attitude by the atmosphere around us.  Raised in a historic city full of musicians, painters and poets my vision of life is influenced beyond the superficial.  DC has it all.  From bars and night life of varying musical and geographical taste to art and history not only of this country but from the far corners of the world, DC captures both traditional and modern aspects of life.  This city truly is a mixing bowl for infinite cultures and lifestyles. What I like Most About DC: I consider Washington to be my home and there is no place like home.  It’s the place I have grown up, grown my business and loving raising my family.  I enjoy everything we have right in our back yard from the mountains, waterfronts, to the small towns and the big city.  I love to go to the wineries, fall festivals, bike rides and shopping, especially in the boutiques of downtown Leesburg or Georgetown.  We are blessed by a great community, top schools, the best neighbors, family nearby and great friends all over the region.  We are in DC’s backyard which gives us endless fun and wonderful people that we meet everyday. What I like Most About DC: More than any other city I’ve travelled to, Washington offers more art, culture, history, and interesting people and places to see and experience.  I’ve been all over the world and there is not one single city that has as much to offer its residents as DC.  We have a terrific economy, more jobs than anywhere else in the country and new neighborhoods full of great restaurants and shopping popping up all the time.  It’s a completely new and better city than it was when I was growing up here.  It’s finally being known not just for politics and instead known as a hip and exciting place people want to be and be seen. Remember the star-studded inauguration? Read more of this post

What I like about DC the most: Washington DC offers the perfect balance at every turn of the city. You can readily find the intellectual brain power and elegance of Boston, the entrepreneurial drive and diversity of New York City, and the freedom and fun of Los Angeles. You hardly feel the lack of anything while living in DC. People of DC have substance and character and they are very real. As a Facial Plastic Surgeon, I truly enjoy helping improve the self confidence and lives of my DC patients. Its a pleasure helping people who simply want to be a better version of themselves rather than seeking to look like Brittany Spears’ double! Read more of this post

What I love about DC: I am so fortunate to have had the opportunity in experiencing DC for the past year or so. You get a fabulous concoction of warmth and elegance everytime you walk amongst the crowd. NY is more trendy, but DC has a more classic appeal…which is definitely more to my liking.  It will greatly be missed when I depart in December 😦 Read more of this post
